37.706089 -97.202399A Theater for Movie Lovers. This theater was obviously created by someone who loves movies and cares about quality: whether that means comfortable and clean seating, wonderful color and picture, or the best in digital surround sound the 13th Avenue Warren Theater has it all. Just recently the theater initiated a zero tolerance cell phone ban that includes texting during the movie, that anyone who takes their movie experience seriously should appreciate. Also, there is a balcony that, although a bit pricey, provides movie goers a waiting service, meals, and alcoholic beverages. The theater is one of three of its kind in Wichita and is the newest and most spectacular of the three. I would recommend it to anyone who absolutely has an affinity for film and takes their movie watching seriously.
No Cell phones but screaming babies allowed. While I do think it is okay to ban cell phones (texting is a little rediculous), this theater allows families to bring babies into the theatres. I have been disrupted many more times during a movie by a crying baby than a ringing cell phone. Each time, the mother and father made more noise and disruption trying to quiet the baby, rather than just leaving the theatre. This is something that needs to be addressed if the theater is going to continue to make such a big deal about phones and texting.
Theater with no peers. This is without a doubt the most comfortable and up to date movie theatre that I have ever seen,. I could go there every day. The sound is outstanding, the seats are comfortable and the popcorn is reasonable compared to most (inferior) theaters. What a wonderful experience. I drive for 11/2 hours to get there but it is worth it.
Nice theater, but pricey. At first I thought this theater was on the track to excellence. Unfortunatly it fell a bit short. It is a very nice theater all the same though. Last I had seen they closed the daycare area, & reduced the availability of the balcony rooms hours. The thing that was a real turn off about it though was the pricing. The balcony room ran $15 per person. Nice room, but not worth that much. We went only at matinee's when it ran $10 per person ... but found a theater we liked much better, & stopped going all together.
