A REAL review.. yes the first review perhaps was written by a manager trying to get the public drawn in, but I wouldn't take "Tommy Hewitt's" word to the bank. If you read any of his other reviews, none of them are positive with the exception of the strip clubs..... just throwing that out there. Perhaps he'd be better if restaurants had strippers??? Regardless of one man's opinion, I've never had a bad time at the Andover Applebee's. I think the staff is friendly and the building is clean with great service. They just remodeled a year ago so the building looks great as well. Their menus have also changed since the last time you were in Tommy, so maybe you should try and go back? And on the fish and chips, they are served with three pieces of breaded cod, fries, and coleslaw, and the refills do only come with one piece and fries, but you can keep refilling one piece as much as you want. People need to just learn patience, if (any) restaurant is busy, just please remember, you're not the only table those servers are waiting on, and you're not the only table the cooks are cooking for.

PITIFUL. The first review sounds like it was written by the manager.

Applebees advertised ALL the fish you could eat on Fridays.

Ordered.,They brought TWO small pieces of fish.

each order took around 15 minutes for ONE additional piece of fish.

I would have been there until the NEXT Friday at their pace.

WILL NOT BE BACK

for poor service

Big portions of mainstream American fare, served up in a convivial, family atmosphere.. In Short
A low-key, friendly environment attracts plenty of families to this reliable chain. Kids in the big booths--often clutching free balloons and crayons--usually outnumber adults sitting at the bar. The menu offers filling American fare with no surprises, from mozzarella sticks and nachos to rollups and burgers. Entrees include steaks, fajitas and main dish salads. The calorie-conscious can select from a list of Weight Watchers-inspired dishes like mesquite chicken salad and grilled tilapia with mango salsa.
