I hate this compnay *so* much.. It never fails that I have the worst experiences with Cox. This company never treats me right, which is why I recently disconnected my TV service with them. I went into their store and outright cut all TV. They talked me back into having their TV services with a few bonus services. I was supposed to get free DVR and Showtime for 6 months, which the DVR was installed. But after trying to watch a show on Showtime, it said I didn't have the Showtime service. I contacted the online technical support, but the worker, Daniel, was of no help to me and literally gave me the run around. He first continued to just say, "Please wait, thank you." after every time I tried to say something. He let me know that he couldn't help me, and then without further ado tried to get off the chat. I asked how I could get Showtime for the evening and he said that I couldn't! He was so nice as to give me the number of the local sales department, which he then told me was closed for the day. I told him that that didn't help me whatsoever. So then I took it upon my own to call, which turned out OK as someone was able to help me. But it's literally no shocker that I even had to deal with this. Cox drives me up the wall, and every time I call in for something I get terrible service from somebody. Although I was able to finally get help tonight, 50% good employee service isn't what it takes to win the customers. It just never fails that something goes wrong. As soon as I can install a dish on my house I will.
So what do you do exactly....?.
I am currently staying with my parents, visiting from Germany, where my husband and I are stationed.
I realize it's kind of sad, but every time I come home I am excited to have American television, and American web browsing!
Well, it never fails that my excitement is diminished by the lack of reliability in Cox's services.
I was home a few months ago and the issue then was internet, it was going out at least once every hour or two.
This time, i've noticed that EVERYDAY the cable goes out, sometimes at night, sometimes in the morning (it's out right now as I write!). The Internet is a little more reliable, but nothing to speak of.
My parents also have their phone services through Cox, and sometimes all three will be out at once.
As this company only meets contract guidelines a portion of the time, wouldn't it make sense to reimburse customers for their thin and getting thinner patience with such a lackluster company? Hmmm.
O sorry sir I don't know anything about nothing and have no clue and I am NOT going to find an answer for you, another represenative that may know the answer, or have anyone conatct you about your problem.
We will also increase your bill without any notification and we will removeservices and not increase services on your increased bill.

Cox has broken two of their "deals" or promotions I have signed up for and I had to eat the difference when they changed.
Go with ATT Uverse the slower internet speeds are faster than Cox's. Suprisingly ATT's customer service is responsive and will make sure you are happy.

I am paying cox communications for a service.
They feel when they desire they can increase the price of said service with no contact to me nor authorization by me.
It took them over 4 months to correctly bill my correct telephone amount, with phone calls and personal contact at their office each tiem.
When the stations show material not authorized, they claim no responsability even though I am paying them for this service.
It is a monoply which is illegal yeah right in the United states
Terrible Phone Service. Our phone went down recently. I called for help but was routed to a barely intelligible customer service rep from an Asian or African country? He said he would check out the problem from the office before sending someone out. 24 hours later, no phone line or phone call back from Cox regarding this issue. I called again and they said they were "still waiting for the results from the initial test." What about sending out a tech to the actual address? I'm still waiting on a resolution. This is one of many problems I have had with Cox. Beware of this company and definitely check out the competition before signing up with them and beware they're longer term contracts where they lock you in for a year or more.
Cannot keep their records straight, will charge for things incorrectly.
I would not recommend this company to anyone if they want good service. They charged me twice incorrectly and I spent 2 1/2 hours at their office trying to get it straightened out. Then, out of the blue, they came up with an "unpaid" bill from several years ago, charged me for things that were not ethical and I ended up with a bill way more than the original incorrect bill! Then I was told that because of these other incorrect charges, I would have to pay even more to have my sevice continued.
They are not willing to solve issues and if you do not agree with what they say, whether it is correct or not, you are out of luck!
