Midtown Place Apartments

This place is terrible!!!. This place is located in the worst prostitute and drug dealing area in the entire city ( "mapped" as so through the city)!!!!Two blocks from the jail! On the edge of both the ghetto and a mostly illegal alien neighborhood!!! Homeless shelter and run down crack type hotels and apartments very close by. High homeless population that digs through the apartment trash and tries to enter to sleep in the apartment hallways at night. Comcare's outpatient drug and alcohol rehab center is right next door!! Mental health crisis center is two blocks away. This neighborhood is so bad that the the local grocery store relocated now its just an abandoned building a few blocks away. Department of corrections is also in walking distance. A great place to live if you do a lot of drugs, are a prostitute, illegal alien, or in jail a lot (walking distance home after you get out of jail).

That about covers the neighborhood. As far as the apartment complex itself, good luck catching someone in the office during normal business hours! The manager has personal problems and is gone a lot! Might take a day or two to get a return call back dont expect anyone to answer the phone 3/4 of the time during normal business hours. The pool did not open until the middle of June this year, it had problems so they decided to wait until it was over 100 degrees when people wanted to swim to try to fix it. Cars get broken in a lot here (either the druggies or the homeless that hang out there a lot). No security!! Not well lighted at night! Backing your car in and out of the parking lot is hard since the parking lot is so small you about hit the car parked behind you getting out, especially if you have a full sized truck or van (look for yourself and you will understand)!! Two broken down washer and driers in one building only for over 100 apartments to share ( you can always go to the ghetto laundry mat across the street with bars on the windows and no air conditioning in it in the summer). The hallways are really narrow making it very hard to move furniture in and out (again see for yourself). No playground or anything for kids! There is a field between the apartments and the drug and alcohol rehab that your kids could play in. People also walk their dogs there and do not pick up after them! Pan handler will meet you in the parking lot asking for money and trying to sell you things, this happens A LOT!!!! The inside of the apartments are okay ( for the cheap price anyway). Most units have bars which is good because there is no room for a kitchen table in them! Fixtures and carpet are from like the 70's. The security door is almost always rigged to open for whoever wants to come on in, people put a rock in the door so it wont latch all the way. When the security door is locked people use the doorbell in the other apartments in the building that anyone can hear to ring their drug dealer and come and go all hours of the day and night!! People store boxes, tubs, trash , and other unappealing things on their balconies!! The police are here a lot especially on the weekends!! Cannot wait to move out of here!! Move here at your own risk!!!! Drive by at night and in the local neighborhood to get a real feel for the area!! …

MIDTOWNPLACE. I HAVE LIVED HERE AT MIDTOWN SINCE 2007 I HAVE SEEN ALOT AND HEARD ALOT, BUT LATLEY WITH THE NEW MANAGER HERE SHE HAS BEEN BUSTN BUTT TO GET RID OF THE FILTH. ITS SLOW TO CHANGE BUT IT CHANGING AND THE APT IS A GOOD SIZE APT FOR WHAT I HAVE

I DONT HEAR ALOT OF NOISE AND HAVE NO PROB WITH THE BLACKS OR MEXICANS THAT LIVE HERE

THIS PLACE HAS REALLY CHANGED!!!!. New manager in summer 2010 which has cleaned house. Evicted alot of bad tenets and neighbors. Has changed absolutely everything about the apartment complex. New roofs on apartment buildings, remodled apartments and more detail by the maintenance. More attention to detail by maintenance crew. With all the upgrades the rent is a BARGAIN!! …
