The name does not reflect their performance – I am writing this review while I am still waiting for my dishwasher to be repaired by Action Appliance. I contacted them on Wednesday Aug. 4th and the got a repair tech to come out to my home the following day. The tech arrived, identified the problem and told me that the part would have to be ordered and that it would take upwards of 10 days for the part to arrive and for them to come back and repair my dishwasher. I received a call from Action Appliance the following day informing me of the cost of the part and to give authorization to go ahead which I did. The individual told me that she would call me back to give me an estimated date of arrival for the part which she never did. It is now Monday August 8th and I decided to give them a follow up call. The individual I spoke with looked up my order and said that the order for the part wasn't entered until late Friday and that there is no tracking # and that once a tracking # shows up in the system it will take 3 to 4 business days before the part arrives. And! She said to call back on Thursday if I haven't heard back!!! What kind of service is this!!! I wish I had never called them. I wish I had never givin the authorization to go ahead but seeing that I was already $70 into them (this is the charge for coming out to your home)I figured I was stuck. Do not use Action Appliance!!!
Questionable – I went through Action Appliance for an appliance repair. It really depends how lucky you are as to what kind of experience you end up having with this company. The receptionists seem to be nice and friendly on the phone. There is a repairman named Bill who is very good and knows how to communicate with customers while out on service calls. However, there is another repairman named Dana who is absolutely horrible. He clearly has no clue what he is doing. To top it off, he is very rude and lacks any sort of customer service skills. Overall, I think this company would be great if Dana wasn't messing things up for them. Ask for Bill and you should be well taken care of.
Great Service – I called Action Appliance for a clothes dryer repair. The receptionist was very nice and scheduled someone to come look at it. They had given me a window of one morning, so I stayed around. The repair person called when he was on his way to let me know to expect him. He was very courteous and competent. Had to order parts which would take about a week. One week plus one day later I got a call the parts were in and he would be out the next afternoon if that met my schedule. I asked if they knew what part of the afternoon and was told it looked like it would be early afternoon. I got a call at noon that he was on his way. The repair was done quickly with no mess, and again the repairman was very courteous. This was so impressive compared to times I have called service people and had them simply not show up without calling, while I waited around for them. I would highly recommend this company!
