You can make better at home from a can. If you open an Indian place across the street from the best in town, better bring your A game. This was D at best

Mediocre Indian Food. I've been to Deshi on numerous occasions and their service is horrible. I have never,out of the 10 times I've been there had fast service. It will take 25-30 minutes to get your food. Even if you call ahead, last time I did that the guy still didn't start on the food until after I got there. Horrible place to go on a lunch break when you have other things you actually have to do. I continue to go there because I do like the food. Wichita doesn't have a lot of Indian restaurants so this one isn't really bad. Some of the stuff on the menu isn't as good as other stuff. I wasn't a big fan on the chicken meals with the bones, it was dry and I spent more time picking through the dish for bone shards then I did eating. So I find a few items I like & stick with them. The food here is not going to amaze you, but it's decent. Price wise it's about $10 a person.

disappointing. The food was very disappointing. I ordered a curry but it didn't taste fresh at all and made me think it was straight out of can or instant food just warmed up.

My friend ordered a different curry dish and it didn't taste like curry but a can of salty tomato paste.

Service was not so great either.
