all they want you to eat. went for all you can eat catfish

I looke like the only one there having it after each helping it took them around 20 minutes to bring a couple of pieces out, I ordered more after getting each helping.

The waiter acted like it was all HE wanted me to eat.

Go elsewhere

TERRIBLE, RUDE, AND EXPENSIVE. God, where do I start? I am truly baffled that people are liking this place. I ordered the combo meatloaf and fried catfish. The catfish was almost nonexistent, mostly breading, and greasy inside. The meatloaf was unedible. It was extemely greasy, and the taste was foul, like bad cooking oil.

The worst part was when I made a comment to the owner. He was EXTREMELY DEFENSIVE. That is not how you run a restaurant. He said he had never had a complaint and was very rude from that point on not refilling pop.

The fried okra was terrible. It tasted bad probably because the oil was dirty and they fry everything in the same oil. I did not eat it.

The only thing i liked was the jambalaya and cole slaw. The sausage was a bit fatty for me. AVOID AND THE OWNER HAS A REPUTATION OF BEING NASTY. Plus, their were negative comments regarding fellow staff at the restaurant. They argue amongst themselves. VERY DISAPPOINTING, ESPECIALLY FOR $18.49 FOR THE COMBO and drink.

Bland Roux. Cajun for toddlers; describes the bland cooking of Da Cajun Shak. If you are out to gorge yourself on cheap fish and shrimp deals; don't get confused, quantity at that point is no issue. The food quality is not oriented with the price of regular meals. If you want bland creole and cajun food drop in and stuff yourself silly; otherwise keep looking for dinner.

Go to Popeyes. About the same as popeyes for quality of food

not for the money. VERY expensive for what you get

You can go many other places like Church's chicken get more and cheaper. The floors are dirty, the workers are cold and rude, the atmosphere is cheap cajun deco. Needs a good cleaning

don't waste your time nor money get more for your money at almost anywhere else

Nothing Spectacular about the Cajun Shak. Da' Cajun Shack is pretty mediocre. They do have right away seating, & I've never seen this place packed. So it has good parking. It's a pretty small place, their receipts are not detailed which really irritates some people. They have fried gator which is ok, but this place is overpriced. It's over $10 a person to eat, the portions are good I just didn't find anything spectacular about the food. I love shrimp etouffee, maybe I'm spoiled for being able to make it from scratch but their's was highly disappointing. Red beans & rice & gumbo are nothing special either the red beans & rice taste like what you get at KFC only more expensive. The service is mediocre.
